The Golden Piave empire shade features hand-marbled paper crafted through a centuries-old technique in which paints and oils are dropped onto thickened water, then raked and stretched into intricate patterns. Each sheet is individually laid onto the surface and lifted away, ensuring no two shades carry an identical design. The bold, multi-coloured marbling gives the paper a rich visual depth, while the empire silhouette provides a classic, structured form. Due to the surface area involved in the marbling process, this shade is constructed with two seams.
