The drum lampshade is made from ivory Dupion silk, a naturally lustrous fabric whose sheen cannot be replicated by synthetic alternatives. Woven from two distinct threads, Dupion carries occasional slubs — areas where yarn twists more thickly — which are a natural characteristic of the fibre and contribute to its organic texture. The soft neutral ivory tone diffuses light warmly and pairs readily with a wide range of lamp bases and interior finishes. At 45cm, the drum form provides even, all-round light distribution suited to pendant or table lamp use.
