The Clessidra hourglass combines artistic craftsmanship with a colourful reinterpretation of a timeless form, originally designed by Paolo Venini in 1957. Handmade using Murano glass, its two distinct sections are blown separately in straw yellow and red before being fused together through the incalmo technique, a meticulous Venetian glassblowing method that joins molten glass pieces at matching diameters. The resulting seamless join highlights the contrast between the two colours while preserving the clarity and luminosity characteristic of Murano glass.
