The Lorena Canals woven storage basket combines structural integrity with artisanal craftsmanship, constructed from cotton rope using a hand-wrapping technique where yarn encases the rope to form rigid vertical lines. Ochre and natural-tone yarns are layered together, creating a textured, depth-rich surface finish inspired by the textile work of Anni Albers. Each basket is handcrafted by two artisans on a traditional handloom in India, with every thread placed individually without the use of electricity, resulting in slight natural variations inherent to the process. The basket is composed of 97% cotton and 3% other fibers, and should be spot-cleaned with lukewarm water and gentle soap rather than machine washed. Dimensions: W35 x D35 x H25 cm.
