Norman Mailer Marc Newson MoonFire Lunar Rock Edition No.1967

The MoonFire Lunar Rock Edition combines Norman Mailer's iconic text with Marc Newson's design in a limited run of just 12 copies, one for each astronaut who walked on the Moon. Each copy is housed in a case modelled on the Apollo 11 LEM (Lunar Excursion Module), its surface rendered as an actual three-dimensional topography of the Moon. Accompanying the book is a unique piece of lunar meteorite — a Basalt-Bearing Mingled Feldspathic Breccia (NWA 5153), discovered along the North West African corridor near the Moroccan/Algerian border, weighing 41.88 grams and measuring 38 x 27 x 23 mm.
