The Victoria Inn by Ed Burkes features an original abstract composition executed in oil paint on canvas. Created by a Cornwall-based multi-award-winning painter, the work draws inspiration from the interplay between music, language, and art. Burkes' practice takes cues from lyrics and hooks rooted in popular music and historical culture, lending the piece a layered conceptual depth. The oil-on-canvas construction provides rich texture and colour depth characteristic of the medium.
