The Flowerbed canvas by Jack Paffett combines thick and thinly applied layers of paint to produce a dynamic mix of high-sheen and matte finishes across an abstract landscape. Rooted in the artist's Bristol surroundings, the composition evolves through spontaneous mark-making, giving the work an organic, unpredictable character. Over-painted, erased, and reworked sections leave visible traces of earlier layers, adding depth and textural complexity to the finished piece.
