The Bear artwork by Henry Ward combines contrasting colours through oil paint applied to a linen canvas, producing a richly textured abstract composition. Oil on linen provides a responsive surface that supports depth and tonal variation, qualities central to Ward's painterly approach. The work is part of the London-based artist's broader practice, which spans painting, small-scale sculpture, and drawing, each piece emerging from an ongoing dialogue between method and place.
