Music of Bronze Shadow Boxes Set of 4 - Bronze, Linen

The Music of Bronze Shadow Boxes set features four bas-relief panels depicting classical musicians — a flutist, harpist, drummer and youthful harp player — each cast in bronze with a softly aged patina. The antique gold frames with linen matting complement the archaeological quality of the reliefs, while the hand-cast construction gives each panel a tactile, enduring finish. The figures are rendered in restrained, poised gestures drawn from ancient Greek relief sculpture, forming a cohesive visual grouping when displayed together. That's what sets Jonathan Charles' modern accents apart from others. Luxurious materials in the hands of craftsmen who have a discerning eye for line, curve, geometry and proportion are transformed into splendid signature pieces that uplift the environment in which they are placed. As opposed to much of the contemporary movement, modern style incorporates practical functionality and ease of use, especially welcome elements in today's homes.JONATHAN CHARLES FURNITUREAt Jonathan Charles, it's all in the detail.
