The Lover's Eye by Susannah Carson features an intimate, detailed composition rendered by a self-taught artist with a background in classical literature. The framed format provides a finished, ready-to-hang presentation, while the beige toning lends a soft, neutral quality to the artwork. Carson's academic background in French literature, with studies at the Sorbonne and Yale, informs the refined sensibility of her visual work.
