The Strawberry Thief Roman Blind features William Morris's iconic 1883 bird-and-berry pattern, printed using a process derived from the original hand-carved woodblock technique. Available with a choice of three linings, it can be installed inside or outside the window recess, with the operating chain positioned on either side to suit the installation. The fabric is UK-manufactured and, for widths exceeding 130 cm, may include a fabric join to achieve the full required width.

The original pattern took several days to print using hand-carved woodblocks to build up the different colours, and ‘Strawberry Thief’ was consequently one of Morris’s firm’s most expensive cottons. Whilst waiting to see the first piece printed, Morris endured sleepless nights in his lodgings at Merton Abbey.
