The 7 drawer chest features a bow-curved front inspired by Georgian bow-fronted antique designs, combining antiqued metal handles with delicate cornicing and traditional woodwork. Its four-over-three drawer configuration provides generous storage capacity, with soft-close drawers throughout for smooth, quiet operation. The smoked oak finish is achieved through hand-applied stains and glazes that enhance the timber's deep natural grain, then sealed with a protective lacquer to preserve the surface. Each piece carries unique grain variations shaped by the natural character of the oak.
Winchcombe is made exclusively for The Cotswold Company, using our signature joinery and finish - you won't find it, or our quality, anywhere else. Tall and striking, our 4 over 3 chest is both elegant and timeless. Offering ample storage space with seven roomy drawers, the soft bow-curved front adds a welcoming nod to traditional design. Inspired by a Georgian bow-fronted chest spotted at an antiques market, the Winchcombe range features a deep, natural grain, soft-close drawers and generous storage - thanks to its elegantly curved shape - that make every piece a pleasure to live with. It combines antiqued metal handles and delicate cornicing with traditional woodwork for a timeless feel. Shaped entirely by nature, no two pieces are ever the same. To preserve the oak's natural beauty, the timber is hand-finished with a combination of stains and glazes to achieve its Smoked Oak tone. It is then sealed with a lacquer to protect the oak's subtle, natural grain traces. Please Note: Due to the size and weight of this item, we use a specialized delivery service.
