The Herald Superb Divan Base & Mattress Set combines handcrafted UK construction with a solid timber frame that is screwed and glued for lasting structural integrity. The mattress features 1.42mm wire springs sewn into individual calico pockets and hand-formed into a honeycomb nested unit, providing responsive and even support across the sleeping surface. Its 21cm deep mattress border is finished with two rows of hand side stitching, while the upholstery layers include 1200gsm of natural coir pad overlaid with 1200gsm of blended British fleece wool and cotton beneath fine quality ticking. Air vents on all sides promote breathability, and the divan base is calico-lined and insulation-wadded for added protection.
