The Baronet Superb mattress provides firm support through hand-formed honeycomb-nested pocket springs, with horsehair upholstery needle-teased onto hessian and enclosed in a hair-proof cambric cover. Bonded and blended British fleece wool and cotton layers sit above the spring unit, adding surface comfort while preserving the firm feel. The 1.52mm wire springs are sewn into individual calico pockets, and two rows of genuine hand side-stitching reinforce the mattress border for long-term shape retention. Air vents on all sides aid breathability, and hand tufting with felt washers keeps the fillings evenly distributed, with the whole construction finished in Belgian ticking at 21cm deep.
