Tasked with the momentous assignment of reinterpreting Poltrona Frau's iconic '1919' armchair, designer Roberto Lazzeroni approached the Poltrona Frau Style & Design Centre designed seat with respect and affection. The 100-year-old original — an immediate classic thanks to its hand padding, complex leather upholstery and famous capitonné motif — featured proportions that were perhaps out of touch with modern day notions of comfort. Accordingly, Lazzeroni's '2019' extracts all the keys features of its predecessor while applying updated dimensions and proportions.
