The Bold Chair features a full tubular steel construction thickened with polyurethane foam padding, departing from the convention of using steel tube solely for the base by building the entire seat, back, and armrest from two nested tubular parts. The foam-padded frame delivers substantial comfort while the graphic, sculptural silhouette remains visually lightweight. Its removable fabric cover provides practical upkeep, and the chair holds collections at MoMA New York, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs Paris, and the Museum für Gestaltung Zurich.
