The vase features a distinctive glass surface created through tonal variation techniques using grits application. Its egg-shaped form combines pink and red hues that resemble natural animal skin patterns, while the brass stand provides stable support. The glass construction offers unique color distribution effects, and the metal base ensures secure display.
In playing with various glass colour applying techniques, designer Sara Ricciardi landed on the distribution of tonal variation via a jet of grits. The result is a small collection of vessels for Vissionnaire in which the colour treatment resembles that of animal skins — a surprisingly exotic outcome which in this vase combines the bold hues of pink and red. Supported by a brass stand, the egg-shaped' Fauna Scarabeo' vase offers an exciting blend of man-made beauty and the surprises of nature.
