Designer wall lamp App for private and public spaces The Berlin design studio Formfjord has developed the LED wall lamp App, a lighting element that is ideal for a wide range of applications in both private and public spaces. Corridors and staircases, for example, can be illuminated both at home and in large office buildings or hotels. The cuboid body of the wall lamp is anything but obtrusive to the observer, but that doesn't mean that App doesn't have its advantages. It turns out to be a versatile lighting element with a wide range of possible applications and technically sophisticated refinements. The basis of the light, i.e. the heat sink of the powerful LEDs with a colour rendering index > 90 Ra, is made of aluminium, while the cuboid lampshade is made of clear polycarbonate. The light is emitted symmetrically upwards and downwards, and is only gently diffused and completely glare-free at the sides. The front cover is opaque so that no glare can occur in the room. Another special feature of the Plexiglas front is that it is double-layered, creating visual depth and plasticity.
