The large number of individual leaf elements, which are combined via plug connections, are bent by hand and cut cold. They make Veli Foliage look exciting and lively. As a result of the many different shapes, a light scattering is created which creates attractive patterns around the table lamp and also provides pleasant general lighting. The material used is developed and patented by the Italian manufacturer Slamp itself. The plastic Opalflex® is a combination of technopolymers and glass crystals, which is extremely flexible and completely unbreakable. The long-lasting material promises pleasure for a long time with this special design object. Thanks to a transparent, inconspicuous cable with integrated switch, it is flexible in position and can be used for decoration in the living area or as lighting on the bedside table. Slamp was already founded in 1992 by Roberto Ziliani. The head office of the lamp manufacturer is in Rome, where a new headquarters was inaugurated in 2019. With particular attention to sustainability, behind every product there are working steps that are environmentally friendly and well thought-out. Since 2020 Slamp has been donating the residual materials from the processing of the technopolymers to a company that uses them to make nesting boxes for bumblebees.
