Oyster - extravagant table lamp by designer Jette Scheib Perhaps most striking is the shade of the table lamp Oyster, which consists of two metal rings woven with cotton threads. In the middle there is an opaque disc, which stands out slightly and behind which the lamp is hidden. The disc is not only decoration, but also ensures that the light of the lamp does not dazzle. The design of the table lamp is reminiscent of an oyster, hence the name Oyster. The illuminant represents the pearl that is inside the oyster. The designer Jette Scheib, who comes from Germany and lives in Barcelona, has created the Oyster series of lamps. Scheib looks for inspiration in her surroundings, the people and in their behaviour towards each other as well as in their handling of objects. She designs functional lamps with personality.
