Design by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti: Equatore LED table lampThe two architects Gabriele and Oscar Buratti design furniture and furnishings, such as luminaires, in addition to overseeing large construction projects. The Equatore lamp series is a design they developed for the brand manufacturer Fontana Arte. The name Equatore is meant to symbolically reflect the positioning of the light source of this table lamp, which appears very classic at first glance. The light source is not located inside the shade, as is the case with most table lamps, but it closes off the shade at the bottom. If the hemispherical shade were the globe, the illuminated disc would be at about equatorial height. Since this LED disc emits light both upwards and downwards, it is not noticeable at first glance that an unconventional type of illumination was chosen for this luminaire model. In order to be able to meet personal needs for different brightness, the Equatore table lamp is equipped with a dimmer that allows individual brightness regulation.
