Portable LED table lamp Hashira with three-level dimmerThe Hashira table lamp is the Nordic version of the traditional Japanese paper lantern. It owes its name Hashira to its shape (Japanese Hashira: column). The cylindrical shade is made of linen, whose characteristic are the unique irregularities in the fabric, which are also responsible for the special light of Hashira. To emphasise the natural look, the lampshade was mounted on a base made of sandblasted wood. The brightness can be adjusted by the three-step dimmer (100 %, 50 %, 25 %).The Hashira lamp series was designed by Norm Architects, a design studio working in the fields of residential architecture, graphics, art direction and commercial interiors, founded in Copenhagen in 2008.
