The Unity stool combines multifunctional design with timeless elegance, featuring prominent voids amongst solid blocks seamlessly sculpted from black-stained maple wood. Its versatile construction allows use as either a stool or side table, while the exceptional craftsmanship ensures lasting durability. The sculptural form provides both aesthetic appeal and practical functionality for various seating and surface needs.
Originally designed by Monica Förster for Zanat’s 2020 'Lockdown Dialogues' project, the 'Unity' stool is a multifunctioning object with a timeless elegance. In a portrayal of the inseparable links that connect humanity as a whole — a notion further compounded throughout the Covid-19 pandemic — 'Unity' presents a series of prominent voids amongst solid blocks seamlessly sculpted from black-stained maple wood. The result is an exceptionally crafted item that not only represents an abstract humanistic idea, but can be used as either a stool or side table.
