Original Product Description:

Designer pendant lamp Tulip with 14 "floating" tulips The floral design of the pendant lamp Tulip was created by industrial designer Marc Sadler. Sadler was a pioneer in the field of experimental design. His innovative-experimental approach still characterizes his work today. This is particularly evident in the decor of the pendant lamp Tulip, which consists of 14 hanging tulips, each of which is unique due to the flower crown formed from Lentiflex®. The technopolymer Lentiflex® is a material specially developed and patented by the Italian lighting manufacturer Slamp. Due to the prism-like surface, this plastic allows the creation of iridescent nuances and the development of a very special effect of the light shine. The tulips are inclined and in this way reproduce a natural appearance. The "stems" of the "tulips" are made of brushed brass, and the almost invisible steel cable gives the impression the tulips are floating in the air. The designer Marc Sadler already looks back on a long career as a product designer. His works are often characterized by novel materials and technologies. But his preferred material remains plastic. With his dissertation on plastics, he was one of the pioneers of experimentation. The pendant lamp comes from the Italian design company Slamp, which was founded in 1992 by Roberto Ziliani and produces high-quality lamps. In addition to natural and traditional materials such as leather, copper, crystal and stainless steel, exclusive and specially patented technopolymers such as Cristalflex®, Opalflex® and Lentiflex® are used. The plastics are lightweight, yet resistant. In addition, they have been treated antistatically to repel dust. Another advantage is their environmental friendliness. Sustainability has always been an important quality factor for Slamp. Thus, the technopolymers contribute to the reduction of environmental costs by 4 times compared to the alternatives. In addition, the noble and break-resistant plastics allow to create shapes and lighting effects that would be impossible with other materials.
