The LED bulb can be operated directly with the Hue dimmer switch (available as an accessory) or, thanks to the built-in Bluetooth module, with the Philips Hue Bluetooth app on the smartphone/tablet, without the need to purchase additional devices such as gateways. A suitable bridge (e.g. Hue - see accessories) is required to immerse yourself in the unlimited possibilities of Philips and other ZigBee-based smart home systems. The options now available - whether for voice control via Amazon Alexa, Google Home and Apple HomeKit or remote access via smartphone app - offer a solution for every application.
