Cylindrically shaped Philips Hue White Ambiance LED spotlight Pillar The Philips Hue LED spotlight Pillar can be used to highlight and illuminate specific areas in the living room, as the light from the GU10 LED bulb included in the scope of delivery can be directed to a desired area by simply aligning the reflector. The GU10 reflector inside is equipped with smart ZigBee technology, allowing the Pillar spotlight to be connected to an existing Philips Hue smart home system. Once the light has been successfully paired with the appropriate Hue bridge (see accessories), Pillar can be controlled using your own smartphone or tablet via the appropriate Hue app. Whether dimming, time programming, networking with other lights or changing the light colour, the app reliably controls the spotlight and the entire Hue system, even when you are on the move. Alternatively, the Pillar LED spotlight can also be controlled with a suitable dimmable switch (see accessories). This works with or without a connection to a smart home system. In mode without a smart home, it can be switched on and off, dimmed and switched to four different pre-installed scenes.
