Pillet realises a clear expression and simplicity in his works. With the Berlin ceiling light, he gives a traditional ceiling light an elegant and decorative character. The special thing about this light is that Berlin can be installed both as a ceiling and wall light, combining round forms with a material mix of metal and sandblasted Glas. A round metal Ring with a satin brass finish holds a disc of wire mesh glass through which the light from the two bulbs shines. The result is direct lighting that is simultaneously filtered by the glass diffuser. Pillet designed the Berlin light for Oluce, the oldest Italian lighting manufacturer.
