It was her grandfather, Plinio Martinelli, who founded the Martinelli Luce lighting company in 1930 and passed it on to her father in 1950. Emiliana is now managing director of the company herself and is constantly working on the further development of new designs. She always draws her ideas from nature, geometry and the simplicity of things.
