Rod-shaped Estela LED pendant lamp made of wood veneer and mouth-blown glass For the unusual, slender Estela LED pendant lamp, a single piece of borosilicate glass is mouth-blown by master craftsman Eduard Garuti and contains a cylindrical diffuser made of wood veneer. Seen up close, the natural imperfections of the hand-blown glass enhance the warmth, charm and elegance of the lamp. Madrid-based Studio Mayice, a multidisciplinary product design and architecture practice, was founded in 2013 by Imanol Calderón Elósegui and Marta Alonso Yebra. With a strong focus on materials - respecting both history and functionality - each design by Mayice presents itself with its own personality and aims to reflect the soul of a material. In many of Mayice's works we find an intelligent dialogue between craft and technology.
