The light is made entirely of paper, which winds down in the form of a spiral and conceals the light bulb. Due to the thickness of the paper, a beam of light that is directed downwards is created. The dimmer on the wall light’s cable can be used to adjust the luminous intensity as you wish. Ingo Maurer chose the Gmund paper mill, which is based on Lake Tegernsee, as the supplier for the paper. The paper is produced here with spring water that comes from the mountain above the company. Gmund supplies many well-known customers with its high-quality paper.
