Kaiser idell™ Luxus table lamp with glossy lacquered lampshade and chrome-plated frame This table lamp already bears the word "luxury" in its name. The Kaiser Idell™ Luxus table lamp - designed by Christian Dell (1893-1974) - is an eye-catcher in the room when unlit, for example on a desk, where it provides effective light for office work when switched on thanks to its asymmetrical lampshade with patented swivel joint. Die table lamp - launched in 1936 - visually epitomises the popular Bauhaus style. Its creator, the German Christian Dell, a silversmith and teacher of industrial design by trade, taught as a master craftsman at the Bauhaus in WEIMAR. The two-tone design of this model is particularly decorative: while the lampshade is lacquered in a glossy colour, the brass frame has a decorative chrome finish. Like the entire Kaiser idell™ lamp series, the Kaiser idell™ Luxus table lamp is also manufactured by the Danish company FRITZ HANSEN. Since its foundation almost 150 years ago, the company has stood for the production of unrivalled designs by renowned designers such as Verner Panton, Kaare Klint, Cecilie Manz, Bodil Kjær and Andes.
