Air pendant light with extravagant blown glass lampshade The Air pendant light was designed by Toni Rie, who has headed up the creative department at Frandsen in Denmark since 2013. The impressive look of Air is achieved by the special shade design. Two blown opal glass elements have been combined to create a very organic shape. The lampshade is bevelled on the underside. This creates an asymmetry that gives the pendant light a very special flair. The white glass not only provides wide-area illumination directly downwards, but also 360° light emission. Air bathes the surroundings in soft light, creating a very cosy atmosphere. The suspension system consists of a cable sheathed in grey textile and the canopy is also grey. The manufacturer, Frandsen, has been based in Skanderborg (Denmark) since 1972 and stands for sophisticated design that can be integrated into many living areas. The products are manufactured using traditional craftsmanship and also impress with their high level of functionality.
