Nebulis wall light in the shape of a cloud made of raw silk fleece The shape of the Nebulis wall light is modelled on a lenticular cloud. It is a design by French designer Élise Fouin, who was inspired to create this lighting collection when she saw how silk threads are made at Sericyne, a French manufacturer of silk fleece. The silkworms are carefully placed on a base on which they spin their silk threads. The result is a silk fleece that is characterised by its special texture with different thicknesses. This fleece is moulded by hand into a special shape that resembles a Wolke, creating a light and airy wall light with a breathtaking lighting effect. The light shines through the fibres in a lively, soft and warm way and you could almost believe that the cloud is moving. Trained at the École Boulle in Paris, designer Élise Fouin creates spectacular furnishings and lights, most of which stand out thanks to the use of unusual materials. The Nebulis collection showcases a skill that is unique in the world and brings out the best in silk fleece, a material that is characterised by its resistance, lightness, light output and softness
