Original Product Description:

Dimmable Hashira table lamp with linen shadeThe Hashira table lamp embodies the modern, Nordic version of the traditional Japanese paper lantern. It owes its name to its shape - in Japanese, Hashira means column, which it is modelled on. The shade in its cylindrical look is made of linen and convinces with its natural, cream-coloured appearance. To underline the natural look, the lampshade was mounted on a base made of ash wood. Inside, there is a frame made of steel, which visually divides the shade into individual rectangles through its struts and gives it a graphic expression. Thanks to the nature of the material, the light is emitted glare-free and evenly all around, creating a warm, soft lighting effect. This can be further influenced by adjusting the light brightness, as Hashira is equipped with a dimmer switch on the cable. The Hashira lamp series was designed by Norm Architects, a design studio that works in the fields of residential architecture, graphics, art direction and commercial interior design and was founded in Copenhagen in 2008. The designers attach great importance to timelessness and durability. They are inspired by norms and traditions, especially the Scandinavian design principles of timeless aesthetics and natural materials.
