Original Product Description:

Handcrafted from traditional Japanese shoji paper, this complexly formed pendant is part of the Akari collection of mid-century lighting by Isamu Noguchi. Designed in 1951, the sculptural form of this light is created by wrapping durable yet thin rolls of paper around a sculpted wire frame. The use of shoji paper allows light to gently pour through the surface, providing a soft glow to the room.
