Handcrafted from traditional Japanese shoji paper, this beautifully formed lamp is part of the Akari collection of mid-century lighting by Isamu Noguchi.Designed in 1951, the elegant form of this light is created by wrapping durable yet thin rolls of paper around a sculpted wire frame.The use of shoji paper allows light to gently pour through the surface, providing a soft glow to the room.Slender legs elevate the design with small rounded feet providing grip while also complementing the mid-century style of the Akari.
