The large 405-litre capacity and open base (.75m x .82m) produce internal heat for faster composting. The lid opens on either side and folds back for easy removal to churn the compost, allowing gardeners to easily harvest the compost from the lower hatch (500mm x 270mm). Narrow gaps in the side panels allow air circulation while keeping rain out. The angled 'cant cut' timber boards (90mm x 20mm) hide the waste and aid ventilation. The open base allows micro-organisms, worms, and slugs to help break down the waste into top-quality compost.
