Original Product Description:
Awarded the prestigious Design Guild Mark Award in 2015, this classic chair has been beautifully revised in close collaboration with the Robin and Lucienne Day Foundation to produce a more compact piece. At the core of the 675 is a curved walnut-veneered plywood back, which innovatively uses a singular curve rather than the obvious double curve to create its supportive backrest and arms. Available in industrial black or brushed chrome, the period style chair legs are topped with a soft cushioned seat upholstered in black leather and finished in matching piping. A design that has truly stood the test of time, Robin Day's 675 chair is one of the most recognisable pieces of 20th Century furniture. Designed in 1952, this pioneering chair features an innovatively moulded walnut veneer back supported by Mid-century frame and complete with a soft leather or wool seat.
