Designed in 1969, the Soft Pad office chair, or EA 219 to give it its full title, builds on the Eames much-loved Aluminium chair by adding plump cushioning.Providing fantastic posture support, the curving shape of this chair has been ergonomically designed to relieve the strain of sitting for pro-longed periods of time.Upholstered in a soft, semi-aniline leather, pads of thick cushioning on the backrest and a large furnished seat make the Soft Pad a pleasure to work in.Following the curved line of the backrest and seat, the polished aluminium frame features streamlined armrests and a useful back bar for transporting the chair.Perfect as an executive chair for offices, conference rooms or home workspace, the Eames Soft Pad chair is mounted on a full 360 rotation five-star polished base in die cast aluminium and includes an adjustable back tilt, pneumatic seat height and castors made from modern, durable plastic.
