The Avaley Rug features a delicate pattern of curling fronds and abstract florals in a washed rose hue, crafted using traditional Persian hand-knotting techniques. Its wool construction begins with hand-sorted fibers that are spun into yarn, then washed and dyed before skilled artisans begin the meticulous knotting process. The handloom accommodates up to three weavers working together, who carefully bind vertical warps around horizontal yarns from bottom to top. Dimensions: W244 x D305 cm.

A designer draws out the design on paper so the weaver can determine the size and pattern of the rug and adjust their handloom accordingly. A maximum of three weavers work together on one handloom, carefully binding the vertical warps around the horizontal yarns from the bottom upwards until it is complete.
