The Almonda collection, with a herringbone border, represents the portuguese textile tradition, a timeless classic. For decades it was the Companhia de Torres Novas’ best-selling design, and a cherished symbol by the industry. Its name originates from the Almonda River, a tributary of the Tagus, born in the Serra de Aire, about 5km from the town of Torres Novas, which used to flow directly through the original Companhia Nacional de Fiação e Tecidos de Torres Novas. Made of high quality cotton, with a 500 GSM weight and solid confection, the Almonda towels offer excellent absorption capacity and maximum durability. To complement your Torres Novas towel set, we also have two bath mats: a 755 GSM bath mat, available in all the same colors as our bath towels, and an even more luxurious 1000 GSM bath mat, available in white, natural, beige, light grey and grey.
