The Grand Modele two-seat sofa combines white top grain leather with a black powder-coated steel frame, based on the 1928 'cushion basket' design in which the frame wraps the exterior of the cushion assembly rather than being concealed within. Top grain leather provides a smooth, hardwearing surface with a clean, uniform appearance, while the down cushion filling offers a soft and comfortable seat depth. The black powder-coated steel frame adds a matte, industrial contrast to the white upholstery and resists surface wear over time. The exposed frame construction keeps the overall silhouette open and structurally defined.
