The Grand Modele two-seat sofa features aniline leather upholstery in white, supported by a chrome steel frame that wraps externally around the cushion basket construction first developed in 1928. Aniline leather retains the hide's natural surface markings and breathability, giving the material a softer hand and more organic appearance compared to pigmented leathers. The down-filled cushions add a generous, yielding comfort layer, while the exposed chrome steel frame provides structural contrast with its polished metallic finish. The inverted frame-to-cushion relationship remains the defining construction detail, with the steel sitting outside rather than beneath the seating elements.
