The Chandigarh Le Course Du Soleil tray combines architectural heritage with practical functionality through its unglazed porcelain construction. Its rectangular shape features a central bas-relief depicting the movement of the sun, directly inspired by Le Corbusier's 1956 sketches. The collaboration with Ginori 1735 and the Le Corbusier Foundation ensures authentic reproduction of Chandigarh's symbolic designs. The white unglazed finish provides a clean aesthetic while highlighting the intricate relief work at the centre.
Inspired by Le Corbusier, Cassina has teamed up with both Ginori 1735 and the Le Corbusier Foundation to produce a series of three porcelain trays that incorporate symbolic bas-relief designs found in the city of Chandigarh. This unglazed rectangular tray features a depiction of the movement of the sun at its centre — a detail directly lifted from a design sketched by the Master in 1956.
