The floor-standing mirror features a solid mango wood frame hand-carved into spherical shapes, drawing inspiration from traditional bobbin furniture design. Its contrasting black and vellum finish is hand-painted with an antiqued, rubbed effect that highlights the ornamental details. The oversized design creates a statement piece, while the artisanal construction ensures each mirror has individual characteristics. The lathe-turned frame elements provide decorative appeal and structural support.
Our Bobina Mirrors are inspired by bobbin furniture - otherwise known as spool furniture - of the late 17th century. This style had legs that were generally lathe-turned into ornamental shapes in order to make a feature of them. We have expanded our best-selling range to include this oversized, statement floor-standing mirror: drawing on the bobbin characteristic, its solid mango wood frame ishand carved into pleasing spherical shapes, then hand painted contrasting black and vellum hues and finished with an antiqued, rubbed effect. Due to the artisanal techniques used, each piece will haveindividual characteristics that add to their charm.
