The Unity stool offers multifunctional versatility with its sculptural design, featuring prominent voids amongst solid blocks seamlessly crafted from black-stained maple wood. Its timeless construction provides both seating and side table functionality, while the distinctive carved details add visual interest. The solid maple construction ensures durability and stability for everyday use.
Originally designed by Monica Förster for Zanat’s 2020 'Lockdown Dialogues' project, the 'Unity' stool is a multifunctioning object with a timeless elegance. In a portrayal of the inseparable links that connect humanity as a whole — a notion further compounded throughout the Covid-19 pandemic — 'Unity' presents a series of prominent voids amongst solid blocks seamlessly sculpted from black-stained maple wood. The result is an exceptionally crafted item that not only represents an abstract humanistic idea, but can be used as either a stool or side table.
