The Kangaroo Chair features a distinctive Z-shaped silhouette when viewed from the side, crafted from three triangular coplanar elements in rich teak wood. Its low seat design provides comfortable seating, while the woven Viennese cane backrest adds breathable support within its wooden frame. The solid teak construction ensures durability and showcases the natural wood grain.
Resuming its study of design in the Indian city of Chandigarh, Cassina presents the 'Kangaroo' chair as an addition to its 'Hommage à Pierre Jeanneret Collection'. Originally designed for the city’s General Hospital Hall but also present in many residences, the low seat is defined by its 'Z' shaped silhouette when viewed from the side, the result of three vaguely triangular coplanar elements, which in this version of the chair are honed from rich teak wood and joined by a backrest with woven Viennese cane inside its frame.
