The Luisa armchair combines geometric precision with functional design, featuring seat and back planes suspended on a wood structure. Its minimalist construction provides versatile seating while maintaining structural integrity through carefully balanced proportions. The chair's timeless design suits various interior settings, and the solid wood frame ensures lasting durability. This piece represents the culmination of Franco Albini's 15-year design development, awarded the prestigious Compasso D'Oro prize.
The result of 15 years' labour from designer Franco Albini, 'Luisa' is an extraordinary chair in which the concept of 'substance in form' is aptly expressed. Albini's mission to dedicate himself to creating an archetype in which the core elements of the structure respond to various possible uses in the home led to the creation of a chair where the seat and the back are two geometric planes suspended on a simple wood structure. The result is a timeless piece that is a testament to skill, technique and high quality materials, and one which was awarded the prestigious Compasso D’Oro prize by the Italian Industrial Design Association. Re-issued by Cassina in a world exclusive.
