The Squish Squash vase offers sculptural appeal with its flowing ceramic construction that mimics soft, supple folds. Its dramatic silhouette provides visual movement and fluidity, while the tough ceramic material ensures lasting durability. The piece features creases and bends that create an elegant vessel, and the folded design adds artistic character to any space.
Fully embodying the doughy sensation implied by its name, Completedworks 'Squish Squash' vase shapes tough ceramic into seemingly soft and supple folds for a vessel that flows elegantly, despite its material. The vase is taken from the 'Fold' collection, which — through ceramics, pearls and precious stones — traces elements of choreography while simultaneously alluding to chance and serendipity. The result is a piece in which creases and bends are combined for a dramatic silhouette that conveys movement and fluidity, and equally nods to the application of drapery in the history of painting.
