The Butterfly Wood Stool combines a gently curving twin-shell seat with oak veneer construction, drawing on traditional Japanese forms interpreted through Western materials. Its distinctive silhouette, designed by Sori Yanagi, features two arching seat shells that meet at a central ridge, creating both visual lightness and structural integrity. The oak veneer finish highlights the natural grain of the wood, adding warmth to the overall form.
